I got bored and couldn't sleep, so I decided to make the blog a little before we were supposed to. I know other people already have blogs; I have one or two blogs, as well, but they really wouldn't work for this assignment.
I really have nothing else to say, so I'll just talk about the movie that I had watched last night. Since it was Cheap Tuesday last night for the theatre, my buddy and I went to see Death Race. I actually did like it, even though most of the good parts were shoved into the promotions (as with almost every other movie). I wasn't sure if it was going to my type of movie, since I'm more into the comedy and drama; if the movie has both elements, then it will most likely go into my favourite movies list.
I really don't recommend movies all that often because my taste in movies is weird. I can fall in love with the dumbest movie ever made and sleep through the year's greatest movie. Actually, now that I think about it, most of my favourite movies are movies that most of my friends haven't heard of, like Rocket Science or Thr3e. They were just movies that I found worth watching at 3 in the morning when I had nothing better to do (I know sleeping is an option, but not for one who is nocturnal).
I just reread what I typed so far and realized that I used the word 'love'. I try not to use love, but it's so hard not to. It's already a word worn past its meaning. My Visual Arts teacher went on a rant about how the word was so overused that it basically means nothing, anymore.
-"I just love your shoes!"
-"Really? Do you want to hug my shoes? Do you want to kiss my shoes? Do you want to marry my shoes? Do you want to spend the rest of your life with my shoes?"
He had a preatty good point; you could say you love anything, but not think about that one thing for the rest of your life, let alone notice the object two minutes later. It's the same with me, I 'fall in love' with a movie, and not think about the movie for months. One night I get bored and look through my collection of DVDs (which I regretably left at home) and do not remember buying half the fucking pile I'm looking at.
Rocket Science, I liked that movie, a lot. It made me laugh, it made me think, and it aggravated me. Once a character in a movie pisses me off, I automatically say that the movie is a good one. Unless, of course, the character isn't supposed to piss you off, then it's just a really annoying movie.
Anyway, I am through with this for the night, I think it's time to fall back into my pillow and conk out for the night. Thank you and have a good one.
P.S. I don't know if I made any sense in that since my eyes are heavy with sleep.
